Square Rooms by Charming
Square Rooms by Charming is a building of thirteen rooms on Calle de Pegaso, in Hortaleza. Every room has a private bathroom, and many have a kitchenette so you can make a quick meal. There are single and double rooms, for solo business travellers or couples.
What guests like most about Square are the shared spaces: a mini gym, a small laundry, a workspace, a lounge and a garden with an outdoor patio. It’s the closest thing to having your own place in Madrid for a few days, with the independence of Smart Stay.
The neighbourhood
Staying in Hortaleza
Hortaleza is a quiet, residential district in north-east Madrid, with parks, wide streets and everything you need day to day. Its big advantage is location: it sits between the centre and the airport, about 5 minutes by car from IFEMA, Madrid’s trade fair and congress centre. The Palacio de Hielo, with shops, restaurants and an ice rink, is about an 11-minute walk.
Pinar del Rey metro (line 8) is about 6 minutes away on foot, and Esperanza (line 4) about 9. Line 8 runs straight to the IFEMA trade fair grounds (Feria de Madrid), the airport and Nuevos Ministerios, so trade fairs and early flights are easy. And at the end of the day, the garden, lounge and gym are there to help you unwind.

What do I need to do before I arrive?
Complete the online guest registration, which is required by Spanish law. Once it’s done, we’ll send you your arrival instructions and entry code.
What time can I check in and out?
Check-in is from 15:00 until midnight. If you’ll be arriving later, let us know and we’ll sort it out. Check-out is by 11:00, except at Calma Rooms and Arturo Soria Stays, where it’s 12:00. You’ll also see it in your booking.
Can I leave my luggage before check-in or after check-out? (Smart Lockers)
Yes, in buildings with Smart Lockers: free luggage lockers you book before you arrive. You can use them from 11:00 on arrival day until 22:00 on departure day. They’re available at Ópera Stays, Calma Rooms, The Madrid Studios, Cuatro Caminos Apartments and Vista Alegre Stays. For other places, just ask us.
What’s included?

Rooms at Ópera Stays, Calma Rooms and Square Rooms have a private bathroom; at Urban Rooms Madrid Ventas bathrooms are shared.
