What Arturo Soria is like
Avenida de Arturo Soria is named after the urban planner who, in the late 19th century, designed the Ciudad Lineal here: a long, tree-lined street built for living with more space and greenery. Today it’s a residential area of villas, parks and terraces, with the Arturo Soria Plaza shopping centre for everyday needs and metro line 4 running along the avenue.
Who it suits
Trade fairs and congresses at IFEMA, about 9 minutes away by car. Early flights or late arrivals: the airport is about 9 minutes by car and around 25 by public transport. Appointments at the embassies or hospitals in the area. And anyone travelling by car who wants to avoid central Madrid’s traffic and parking.
Hotel or alternative?
There are business hotels in the area, comfortable but designed for one-night stays. If you’re staying several days, driving or prefer to live like at home, a studio with a kitchen gives you more space and freedom, often for less.
